Reverse description A large, boldly rendered eagle with spread wings stands facing left atop an elaborate heraldic composition featuring a crowned imperial orb and the Prussian coat of arms. The denomination 5 MARK appears to the right of the eagle's body in the upper field, flanked by the date 1913 along the right border. The circular legend DEUTSCHES REICH arcs around the upper and left periphery. The design is enclosed within a fine inner beaded border and exhibits the strong sculptural relief characteristic of Karl Goetz's medallic work.
