Reverse description The Imperial German eagle displayed at center, depicted with spread wings, each feather finely rendered, the head turned to the right, and surmounted by an imperial crown with flowing ribbons. The breast of the eagle bears an escutcheon featuring the Prussian arms, surrounded by elaborate oak and laurel decorative elements. The upper legend DEUTSCHES REICH arcs above the eagle, flanked on both sides by the date 1888, while the denomination FÜNF MARK appears below, each word separated by a six-pointed star. The entire design is enclosed within a fine beaded border.
