Reverse description Printed in black and dark brown ink on a steel-blue ground, the reverse carries a bold Expressionist woodcut-style vignette by designer M. Eschle, showing a standing female figure surveying a scene of devastation — collapsed industrial structures, grave crosses, and prostrate human figures amid rubble — with a residential building visible at right. The denomination '5 MARK' appears in large numerals at upper left and upper right, and a serial number panel in lighter blue runs across the lower border flanked by the two-part motto text in white on black cartouches.

The Liga zum Schutze der Deutschen Kultur — League for the Protection of German Culture — was one of several nationalist cultural associations that emerged in the turbulent early Weimar years, producing their own notgeld as both a fundraising mechanism and a statement of political identity. Sachsen was a particular hotbed of this activity in 1921, with regional groups issuing scrip that circulated locally while the national currency hemorrhaged purchasing power.

Ratsdruckerei R. Dulce in Glauchau was a municipal print operation, an unusual choice for a private association's emergency currency. Designer M. Eschle is otherwise obscure in the notgeld record.
