Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of Georg II, Duke of Saxe-Meiningen, in high-relief left-facing profile bust, with a prominent flowing beard rendered in fine detail. The truncation is plain and unadorned. The encircling legend reads GEORG II HERZOG VON SACHSEN-MEININGEN, with the mint mark D appearing at the base of the design below the bust truncation. The entire design is contained within an inner beaded border.
