Below the eagle's tail feathers, elaborate acanthus-scroll mantling fills the lower field, with the denomination FÜNF MARK inscribed in the exergual area. The legend DEUTSCHES REICH flanks the eagle on left and right, with the date 1904 on the right side, and two small stars flank the lower legend. A dentilated border encloses the design. |
