Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Georg of Saxony, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curly hair and full beard characteristic of his later portraits. The truncation is unadorned, and the mint mark 'E' appears in the lower field below the bust. The encircling legend reads GEORG KOENIG VON SACHSEN, separated from the beaded border by a smooth inner field.
