| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Albert of Saxony, depicted with full curly hair and a neatly trimmed beard, rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail. The truncation of the neck is cleanly cut, with the mint mark 'E' positioned at the base below the bust. The circumferential legend reads ALBERT KOENIG VON SACHSEN, distributed evenly around the upper and lateral fields. The entire design is enclosed within a finely executed inner beaded border. The portrait displays the dignified, naturalistic style characteristic of German Imperial-era coinage engraving. |

| Reverse description | At the center of the field stands the Imperial German eagle displayed, with wings spread and head turned to the right, surmounted by an orb-topped crown. The eagle's breast bears an inescutcheon depicting the Prussian eagle, and elaborate foliate mantling extends from the base of the shield. The circumferential legend DEUTSCHES REICH arcs across the upper field, with the date flanking to the right. The denomination FÜNF MARK appears in large Gothic-style letters across the lower field, flanked by decorative five-pointed stars. The entire design is contained within a beaded border consistent with the obverse. |
