Obverse description	The upper portion carries the title inscription in red letterpress within a decorative Art Nouveau scroll banner. A central panoramic vignette in grey and black shows a riverside view of Holzminden with a church spire, townscape, and a steamboat on the river Weser against a rolling hillside background. To the lower left, a large red octagonal denomination cartouche bears the numeral '5' above the word 'Mark', while a two-line script text block at lower centre states the issuing authority and expiry date, countersigned at right by the city council representative, with the printer's imprint beneath.
