| Obverse description | Plain cream-coloured ground with a fine overall guilloche underprint of small interlocking ring motifs in pale olive. The denomination is stated in large bold letterpress as '5 M' and 'Mark fünf', above a text block in German declaring payability by the Stadthauptkasse in Kolberg until 2 January 1919, dated 'Kolberg, 12. November 1918' and signed under the legend 'Der Magistrat'. A circular official violet ink stamp of the Magistrat appears at upper right, and a small crowned heraldic vignette is centred at lower middle, with two manuscript signatures below. |
