| Obverse description | The face is set against a fine blue-grey lattice guilloche underprint covering the entire field, enclosed by a diamond-pattern border. The issuer's name "Stadtgemeinde Baden-Baden" and the word "Gutschein" are inscribed in bold blackletter script at the top, above a central rectangular panel bearing the denomination "Fünf Mark" in large Gothic lettering. The date "Baden-Baden, den 22.
