Issued to mark the first anniversary of Azerbaijan's victory in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh War — a 44-day conflict that ended in November 2020 with a Russian-brokered ceasefire and the return of territories held by Armenian forces since the early 1990s. The war saw extensive use of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones, which proved decisive and were widely credited in Azerbaijani state media with turning the military outcome.
