Additional information

Issued under the UN-sponsored World Summit for Children held in New York in September 1990, this coin was part of a coordinated series of commemorative issues struck by participating nations worldwide. Malta's contribution arrived the following year, one of dozens of similar programs that flooded collector markets in the early 1990s and suppressed secondary market values across the entire genre almost immediately upon release.
