Reverse description The reverse depicts four children playing a game of hopscotch on a numbered grid, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. One child bends forward in motion across the numbered squares, while two children stand to the right and a third looks on from the left. The denomination £M5 appears in the upper field, flanked by the mint mark CHI at the left and the engraver's initials NG at the right. Two UNICEF emblems are positioned in the lower left and lower right of the field, and the date 1981 is inscribed along the lower rim.
