Obverse description High-relief truncated bust of King Victor Emmanuel III facing right, portrayed in military uniform with a richly decorated collar in the naturalistic sculptural tradition of the Italian Liberty period. The king is depicted bare-headed with a close-cropped moustache, the effigy rendered with pronounced modelling typical of Italian proof and pattern coinage of the era. The circular legend arcs along the upper periphery of the coin, while the engraver's signature D. CALANDRA appears incuse in the lower field beneath the bust truncation.
