Obverse description Draped bust of Maria Luigia (Marie Louise of Austria) facing left, her hair elegantly arranged in loose curls and gathered at the back, adorned with a decorative diademed headband. The truncation of the bust shows a draped garment fastened at the shoulder. The circular Latin legend reads MARIA LUIGIA PRINC. IMP. ARCID. D'AUSTRIA, and the date 1815 appears in the lower field, flanked by two small ornamental marks. The portrait, engraved by Luigi Manfredini, is rendered in a refined neoclassical style with fine relief detail.
