| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of Joachim Murat facing right, with voluminous curly hair rendered in fine neoclassical style. The portrait is boldly modeled in high relief, truncated at the neck. The encircling legend reads GIOACCHINO NAPOLEONE, divided on either side of the bust, with the date 1813 placed in the lower exergual area. The whole is framed by a beaded inner border. |
