Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of King Carlo Felice of Sardinia, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curling hair and a classical Neoclassical portrait style engraved by Amedeo Lavy. The truncation of the bust is plain, resting above the date, which appears in the lower field. The circular legend, separated by interpuncts, reads CAR·FELIX D·G·REX SAR·CYP·ET HIER·, proclaiming his titles as King of Sardinia, Cyprus, and Jerusalem. The field is smooth and the design is framed by a fine toothed border.
