| Obverse description | The central field features the Cedar of Lebanon within a heart-shaped cartouche, flanked by an ornate arabesque of scrolling vines and stylised floral motifs in raised relief. The denomination '5' appears prominently in the lower field in large numeral form, with the legend 'LIVRES' above it and the Arabic value '٥ ليرات' positioned beneath the cedar. A band of the twelve Western astrological symbols encircles the central design. Two inset blue crystal stones are set symmetrically at the lower left and lower right of the field. The issuer's name 'BANQUE DU LIBAN' is inscribed along the upper rim, with the dual-script date '2013-٢٠١٣' at the bottom. |
