Obverse description Central device depicts the Manchukuo national flag on a staff, shown unfurled within a beaded inner circle. The flag displays five horizontal stripes, referencing the Five Races Under One Union symbolism. Flanking the inner circle at left and right are two five-pointed stars. The outer legend, arranged around the periphery in Chinese characters, reads 大滿洲國 (Great Manchukuo State) above and the Datong reign year below, all within a milled border.
