Obverse description Central motif features a large royal crown depicted in high relief, with a cross surmounting the arched band and elaborate ornamentation throughout. The crown is set against a plain field with the engraver's name inscribed beneath it in small characters. The circular legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ (Kingdom of Greece) runs along the periphery, flanked by a beaded border. The date and mint mark appear in the lower exergual area beneath the crown.

Reverse description The numeral 5 dominates the center of the field in a large, bold typeface. The denomination legend ΛΕΠΤΑ is inscribed above the numeral in a straight line across the upper portion of the coin. The entire central device is encircled by a wreath of olive branches tied at the base with a small ornamental bow, all within a beaded border.
