Obverse description Brown intaglio print over a multicolour guilloche underprint. A portrait vignette of Cacique Lempira occupies the left field, with the national coat of arms positioned at right. Denomination and issuer legends are distributed across the face, with the date and place of issue — Tegucigalpa, 11 de Febrero de 1932 — inscribed within the text panel.
Obverse lettering REPÚBLICA DE HONDURAS EL BANCO DE HONDURAS PAGARÁ AL PORTADOR EN MONEDA EFECTIVA 5 SÉRIE A TEGUCIGALPA, 11 DE FEBRERO DE 1932. CINCO LEMPIRAS

Reverse description Brown intaglio print centred on an architectural vignette of the Banco de Honduras building, rendered in fine engraved line work. Large lathe-work guilloche rosettes, each enclosing the numeral "5", flank the central vignette on either side. The bank name appears in a decorative panel above the building, the denomination in a cartouche below, and the printer's imprint "WATERLOW & SONS LIMITED - LONDRES, INGLATERRA" is set at the bottom centre.
