Reverse description The Romanian royal coat of arms, depicting a large crowned shield supported by two displayed eagles, occupies the central field. The shield bears the quartered arms of Romania surmounted by a royal crown. The numeral '5' appears to the left of the shield and the denomination 'LEI' to the right, both in large Latin characters. Eight six-pointed stars are evenly distributed around the periphery of the field. A toothed border runs along the inner edge of the rim.
