| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborately calligraphed tughra of Sultan Mehmed V, rendered in the traditional Ottoman style with characteristic looped baseline and soaring vertical strokes. To the right of the tughra appears the Arabic epithet 'Reshad'. The numeral '3' in Arabic-Indic script is positioned below the tughra, denoting the regnal year. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner border surrounded by a ring of alternating five-pointed stars and dentils, with a further outer beaded rim. |
