| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborately calligraphed tughra of Sultan Mehmed V, rendered in the Ottoman chancellery style with characteristic looped monogram and upward-sweeping shafts. The tughra is surrounded by a ring of six-pointed stars distributed evenly around the field. The border features a distinctive double-band design consisting of an inner radial reedwork ring and an outer beaded rim, with small floral ornaments interspersed at intervals. The word 'Reşad' (رشاد), an epithet of Mehmed V, appears to the right of the tughra. The overall composition is characteristically Ottoman in its symmetrical, heraldic arrangement. |
