Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King Haakon VII facing right, with naturalistic portrait detail typical of early twentieth-century Scandinavian medallic art. The king's mature facial features and neck truncation are rendered in high relief against a flat field. A circular legend surrounds the effigy, divided into two arcs: the royal title along the upper periphery and the royal motto along the lower. Dot separators punctuate the inscriptions throughout.
