Reverse description Central device comprising the Austrian Imperial double-headed eagle displayed, each head surmounted by a crown, with a heraldic shield on the breast bearing the quartered arms of the Habsburg dominions. The numeral '5' appears prominently at the base of the eagle, denoting the denomination in Kreuzer. The date is incorporated into the surrounding Latin legend, which reads HVN. BOH. LOMB. ET VEN. GAL. LOD. IL. REX. A. A., enumerating Franz I's royal titles over Hungary, Bohemia, Lombardy, Venice, Galicia, Lodomeria, and Illyria. A fine beaded border frames the entire reverse design.
