Obverse description Central crowned oval shield bearing the rampant Palatinate lion, displayed on an ornate pedestal with decorative scrollwork and foliage flanking both sides. The shield is surmounted by a princely crown with cross finial. The legend is divided across the field, reading PFALZ to the left and ZWEYB: to the right of the central device. The coin's periphery is framed by a continuous beaded border. The overall design reflects the Baroque heraldic style typical of late 18th-century German princely coinage.
