Obverse description Printed in violet and teal on light paper, the obverse is divided into two main fields. The left panel carries an intricate guilloche underprint with a central oval cartouche bearing the denomination inscription, flanked by ornate rosette medallions at each corner; the serial prefix and series letter appear at lower left. The right panel is occupied by a finely engraved intaglio portrait vignette of a young man in early 19th-century dress, set within an oval frame with numeral '5' repeated in the surrounding border.

Reverse description Executed entirely in shades of blue, the reverse presents a left-side vignette of a classically rendered female bust in profile, wearing a floral wreath, set within a rectangular intaglio frame against a fine guilloche ground. To the right, the Czechoslovak state coat of arms — a double-tailed lion on a quartered shield — is centered between two large numeral '5' figures, with the denomination rendered below in four languages. A repeating micro-text side panel reading 'REPUBLIKA ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ' runs along the right margin.
