Obverse description Central device features the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed, crowned with three crowns, holding an orb and sceptre in its talons, with a shield bearing the St. George and dragon motif at its breast and multiple subsidiary shields across its wings. The eagle is flanked at the base by laurel and oak branches. The Cyrillic legend МѢДНАЯ РОССІЙСКАЯ МОНЕТА (Copper Russian Coin) curves along the upper periphery, separated from the central device by a beaded inner border.
