Obverse description Central field features a large Arabic tughra or calligraphic device, surrounded by an ornate wreath of olive or laurel branches encircling the entire design. Arabic inscriptions appear within and around the central device, referencing the Qu'aiti Sultanate authority. A floral or foliate ornament is visible at the top of the wreath. The overall style reflects late Ottoman-influenced calligraphic coinage typical of South Arabian sultanates of the period.

Reverse description Central field displays three horizontal lines of Arabic inscription denoting the denomination and date, enclosed within a wreath of olive or laurel branches. A small floral ornament surmounts the wreath at the top. The denomination '٥ خمسى' (5 Khumsiyyah) appears prominently in the central registers, with the AH date '١٣١٨' inscribed below. The composition and layout are consistent with the utilitarian bronze coinage of the Qu'aiti Sultanate of Hadhramaut.
