| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of Sun Yat-sen occupying the central field, rendered in low relief with fine portrait detail including a high collar and closely cropped hair. The Chinese legend reading 'Republic of China Year 38' (中華民國三十八年) is arranged around the periphery, with the reign-year characters flanking the portrait on either side and the era title arching across the upper field. A decorative beaded or rope border runs along the outer rim. |
