| Obverse description | At the upper portion of the field, the small coat of arms of Ukraine is displayed centrally, flanked by the legend УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) in Cyrillic script; below appears the issue year 2018 and the denomination 5 / ГРИВЕНЬ. The center of the coin features a gilt sculptural rendering of a boar derived from a Scythian gold figurine dated to the late 4th century B.C., executed with fine relief detail. Beneath this central motif, against a matte background, is a decorative frieze depicting a combat scene drawn from the celebrated Gold Pectoral found at the Tovsta Mohyla burial mound, dating to the mid-4th century B.C. |
