Reverse description The reverse reproduces the design of the reverse side of the Ukrainian 5 hryvnia banknote, featuring a detailed depiction of the Illyinska (St. Elias) Church in the village of Subotiv, constructed in 1653 as the family burial vault of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, who along with his son Tymish is interred there. The architectural rendering of the church occupies the central field, executed in fine engraved detail consistent with the banknote prototype. Cyrillic legends identifying the subject, the issuing authority, and the denomination appear within the composition. The year '2005' is inscribed within the design, reflecting the issue year of this particular striking. The numeral '5' appears in multiple positions, reinforcing the face value.
