Obverse description Armored equestrian effigy of Emperor Maximilian I facing left, depicted in full plate armour and plumed helmet, mounted on a caparisoned horse striding to the left. The emperor carries a sceptre in his raised right hand, with the imperial double-headed eagle displayed on a shield visible to the left of the horse.
