| Obverse description | Printed in green on a fine guilloche underprint, the note bears large hexagonal denomination numerals '5' at left and right, each set within an intricate geometric vignette. The word 'ZILVERBON GROOT' appears in a rectangular panel at the top centre, with 'VIJF GULDEN' in bold letterpress across the centre field. Below the denomination, three lines of payment text are followed by the date '16 October 1944', two facsimile signature lines with their respective titles, and the printer's imprint 'De Bussy Amsterdam' at the foot. The vertical side margins carry the inscriptions 'NEDERLAND' at left and 'WETTIG BETAALMIDDEL' at right. |
