Obverse description The obverse is printed in blue-grey intaglio and presents an allegorical female figure seated at left beneath a palm tree, with a coastal harbour scene in the central vignette showing the Willemstad waterfront with colonial buildings. The denomination numeral '5' appears in the lower-left corner and in a diamond-shaped guilloche panel at right, framed by an intricate lace-pattern border. The issuer's name and denomination are inscribed at top, with signature titles 'DE SECRETARIS' and 'DE VOORZITTER' flanking two manuscript signatures in the upper centre.

Reverse description The reverse, also in blue-grey intaglio, is dominated by the arms of the Nederlandse Antillen — a crowned heraldic shield supported by two lions with the motto 'JE MAINTIENDRAI' — set centrally over a fine rose-coloured guilloche underprint. Two large oval panels at left and right each bear the numeral '5', enclosed within elaborate scrollwork borders matching the lace guilloche frame running the full perimeter. The date '1960' and serial number appear twice in red at upper-left and lower-right.
