| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in blue-grey intaglio and presents an allegorical female figure seated at left beneath a palm tree, with a coastal harbour scene in the central vignette showing the Willemstad waterfront with colonial buildings. The denomination numeral '5' appears in the lower-left corner and in a diamond-shaped guilloche panel at right, framed by an intricate lace-pattern border.
