Obverse description Second laureate bust of King William III facing right, with long flowing curled hair extending to the truncation, rendered in high relief in the Baroque manner engraved by John Croker. The king is depicted bare-necked, the laurel wreath tied with a ribbon visible among the elaborately coiled locks. The Latin legend is disposed around the periphery, reading from lower left to upper right, with a pellet stop separating the royal numeral from the divine grace formula. The milled edge is clearly visible at the coin's rim.
