Reverse description A long plain cross divides the field into four quarters, with an annulet placed in the first and fourth angles and three bezants (pellets) arranged in the second and third angles. A continuous Latin legend is divided by the arms of the cross and runs between two concentric beaded circles around the periphery, incorporating the mint city name and date. The overall layout follows the standard cross-and-legend type characteristic of Catalan municipal hammered coinage of the seventeenth century.
