| Reverse description | Printed entirely in blue, the reverse is dominated by two large dragon vignettes — one stretching across the upper portion of the note and a confronted pair of dragons centered in the lower half — both engraved in intricate intaglio style against a fine guilloche underprint incorporating the repeated text BANQUE DE L'INDO-CHINE. The four corners each bear the numeral 5 within ornate geometric frames, and the outer border is composed of elaborate meander-pattern guilloche work. The anti-counterfeiting legal warning from Article 139 of the Penal Code appears in two vertical text panels flanking the central reserve, with the designer credit DANIEL DUPUIS ET GEORGES DUVAL FEC. inscribed along the lower margin. |
