Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of Prince Rainier III facing left, depicted in military uniform with a crown emblem visible at the collar. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the style of Pierre Turin, with fine detail in the hair and facial features. The circular legend reads RAINIER III PRINCE DE MONACO around the upper field. The engraver's signature P. TURIN appears in the lower right field, with the date 1960 flanked by decorative rosette privy marks at the bottom.
