Reverse description The denomination 5 FRANCS. is displayed in two lines at the center of the field, enclosed within a wreath of two symmetrical laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, a small rooster privy mark visible at lower left. The legend EMPIRE FRANÇAIS. arcs along the upper periphery, while the date appears in the exergue and the mint mark letter is positioned at lower right within the wreath. The design is completed by a beaded inner border and an outer denticled rim.
