Obverse description Laureate bust of Napoleon Bonaparte facing right, with ribbon ties visible at the nape of the neck, rendered in the neoclassical imperial style. The emperor's effigy displays a strong profile with detailed facial features and layered laurel wreath. The circumferential legend reads NAPOLEON EMPEREUR. punctuated by a period, disposed along the upper and right periphery. The coin exhibits a hole pierced through the field to the left of the bust, characteristic of this contemporary counterfeit type.
