Obverse description Central field features the Tunisian coat of arms comprising a khamsa (Hand of Fatima) surmounting a crescent moon, both rendered in high relief within an ornate decorative frame. The Arabic legend arcing around the upper field reads 'المملكة التونسية' (Kingdom of Tunisia), while the dual dates '1373-1954' appear in the lower central field in both Western and Arabic-Indic numerals. The denomination 'خمسة فرنكات' (Five Francs) is inscribed along the lower arc of the legend, completing the circular design engraved in a refined Art Deco style.
