Obverse description Central design features the interlaced six-pointed star (Seal of Solomon) set within an ornate geometric medallion, incorporating fine floral and arabesque scrollwork throughout the field. The AH date 1365 is inscribed within a horizontal cartouche at the centre of the star. Arabic legends arc along the left and right sides of the coin, while the Latin legend EMPIRE CHERIFIEN curves along the upper border. The overall composition exemplifies the Moorish decorative style characteristic of Moroccan coinage of the period.
