Obverse description Central field features an intricately detailed five-pointed star (Seal of Solomon), rendered in the Moorish arabesque style, enclosing the Hijri date 1370 within a cartouche at its center. The star is surrounded by an ornate circular border of interlaced geometric and floral arabesque motifs. The upper legend reads 'EMPIRE CHERIFIEN' in Latin characters, while the lower legend bears the Arabic inscription of the Sherifian Empire in flowing Maghrebi script.
