Reverse description The numeral '5' above the legend FRANCS is displayed prominently within a square cartouche set on its corner to form a diamond orientation, itself inscribed within an octagonal decorative frame, all centered within a raised circular border. Two small mint marks flank the denomination within the square. The surrounding annular band is richly ornamented with continuous arabesque and floral motifs in the Moorish tradition, with the Arabic legend of the Mohammedian Sharifian coinage arcing along the lower field. The Latin country name MAROC appears in bold relief along the upper rim.
