Reverse description The full achievement of the arms of the Principality of Monaco occupies the centre of the field: a lozenge-shaped shield bearing the Grimaldi fusilly argent and gules, supported by two armed monks brandishing swords, surmounted by a princely crown and encircled by a collar of the Order of Saint-Charles bearing the motto 'DEO JUVANTE'. The large numeral '5' appears prominently to the left and right of the shield, with the denomination 'FRANCS' and the date '1945' inscribed in the exergue. A beaded border frames the entire composition.
