Reverse description The Belgian royal coat of arms is displayed centrally, featuring a rampant lion on a shield surmounted by a royal crown, with two elaborately detailed lion supporters and foliate mantling to either side. The denomination 5 and F flank the shield at left and right respectively. The national motto L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE arcs across the upper field, while the date 1847 is placed in the lower exergual area flanked by two five-pointed stars. The entire design is enclosed within a finely executed beaded border.
