The legend CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA arcs along the upper periphery, with the engraver's signature P. BVRKHARD. INCT and the essai designation appearing in the field. The portrait is rendered in a naturalistic, neoclassical style characteristic of Swiss coinage of the early twentieth century. |
