Obverse description Three Giant Eland heads (Taurotragus derbianus) in profile facing left, depicted in high relief with finely engraved horns and facial detail, arranged in a overlapping group occupying the central field. Stylised vegetation motifs appear in the lower field. The circular legend BANQUE DES ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE CENTRALE runs around the upper periphery, with the date flanked by dots positioned in the lower exergue. The engraver's signature G.B.BAZOR appears to the right of the design.
